The Lawsons Are Coming!!!

As BBQ season draws to an end we are reminded of the havoc caused to the dog population across the country. Rest in peace bacon machine.

Actually more just a reason to show off some of the changes to the front of the property that have happened over the last few months.



Can only use up to about a 7 iron and you have to get it up quickly, but a good practice area. The mat is a used driving range mat, the standard edges are pretty worn, but the corners are just fine so we have orientated it on the corners.

William did a flyby and took the following video. It is rather old and was about dusk, so not very clear. Nice concept though. You can jus make out the white of the porch roof close to the center of the picture at the end of the video, then work back from there.

Started looking for potential porch options, this one caught the eye recently, big advantages being the ramp for aging dogs and people.

Well call us crazy and send us earmuffs. Cal has been doing drum lessons for a few months now. He had reached the point where he had to have a practice set or pads. Soooooooo, we bit the bullet and Cal has a new drum set and early birthday present.

After years of faithful service, sunning itself in the Florida warmth the little Blue Hyundai was passed on to Daniel who promptly moved to Washington DC. I think the car knew it was in trouble as it had a flat on the way and has had the odd battery problem. Never in its worst nightmares did it expect this though....

We had all the boys home for Christmas and as part of the the family event we got a family present, a 250 cc Arctic Cat ATV. To make better use of the ATV and to get ready for a NEWFFLA draft test that we might be hosting in April we expanded the trails. Get ready for a ride!!!

With less than a week until Linda gets home Cal is really flipping with excitement...

After spending five plus hours on the mower when I sit back, put my feet up and look out at our land in Alachua, I find it pretty hard to imagine living anywhere else.
